Privacy Policy
What we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what you can do about it.
About this policy
In short: UniteHQ takes privacy seriously. This policy describes what data we collect and how we treat it. Plain-English summaries are at the top of every section.
This Privacy Policy describes how Modern Day Sports LLC, doing business as UniteHQ ("UniteHQ", "we", "us") collects, uses, and discloses information about users of our website, applications, and services (the "Service").
By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings given in our Terms of Service.
Information we collect
In short: We collect what you give us when you sign up and use the Service, plus standard usage and device data.
Information you provide
- Account information: name, email, password (hashed), and phone number when you create an account.
- Profile information: photo, bio, business details, scheduling preferences, and (for coaches) marketplace profile copy.
- Coaching content: drills, plans, video, written notes, messages, and feedback you upload to or send through the Service.
- Payment information: billing address and limited payment details. Card numbers are processed and stored by Stripe — we never see them.
- Communications: messages you send us through support channels.
Information collected automatically
- Usage data: pages and features you use, timestamps, and similar interaction data.
- Device data: device type, operating system, browser, IP address, and language settings.
- Cookies: we use a small number of cookies and similar technologies for authentication, security, and analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
Information from third parties
- Payment processors: Stripe shares limited information with us to confirm successful payments, refunds, and subscription status.
- Authentication providers: if you sign in with a third-party account, we receive a verified identifier from that provider.
How we use information
In short: To run the Service, deliver coaching tools, process payments, communicate with you, keep things safe, and improve. We don't sell your personal information.
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
- Authenticate users, secure accounts, and prevent fraud and abuse.
- Process payments and payouts.
- Send transactional emails (sign-in links, billing, subscription events).
- Respond to support requests, investigate complaints, and enforce our Terms and Acceptable Use Policy.
- Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.
- Understand how the Service is used so we can make it better.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their independent marketing purposes.
Children and minor athletes
In short: UniteHQ accounts are for adults. Parents subscribe on behalf of minor athletes and supervise their participation. We don't knowingly collect data from children under 13.
The Service is intended for use by adults aged 18 or older. Parents and legal guardians may subscribe on behalf of minor athletes and supervise their participation; the parent remains the account holder and is the appropriate point of contact for all data decisions.
We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without verifiable parental consent, we will delete that information promptly. If you believe a child under 13 has submitted personal information without consent, contact privacy@unitehq.com.
For athletes who are 13–17, the parent or guardian account holder controls account settings, content, and data. Coaches working with minors must comply with our Coach Services Agreement, which requires parent visibility on all coach-to-athlete interactions.
Subprocessors
In short: The vendors we rely on to run UniteHQ. Each is bound by data-protection terms.
- Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage hosting.
- Stripe — payment processing, subscription billing, and the customer billing portal.
- Resend — transactional email delivery.
- Cloudflare — CDN, edge security, and video streaming.
- Vercel — application hosting and deployment.
- PostHog — product analytics.
Subprocessors may change over time. Material changes will be reflected in this policy.
How we protect information
In short: Encryption in transit, scoped database access, audit logging, and the standard set of practices you'd expect from a modern SaaS. No system is perfect.
We use industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including:
- TLS encryption for data in transit.
- Encryption at rest for databases and file storage.
- Row-level access controls and the principle of least privilege.
- Audit logging for sensitive operations.
- Regular review of access and security practices.
No system is perfectly secure. If we become aware of a security incident affecting your personal information, we will notify you and any applicable regulator as required by law.
How long we keep information
In short: As long as your account is active, plus a limited period afterward to meet legal and operational needs.
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Backups may persist for a limited period after deletion in accordance with standard backup practices.
You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time. Some information must be retained to satisfy legal obligations (for example, tax records tied to payments).

In short: The Service is operated from the United States. If you use it from outside the U.S., your data is transferred to and stored in the U.S.
